🤌🤌🤌 Italian hand gesture spam

Meaning

🤌🤌🤌 spams the Italian pinched-fingers gesture, the hand motion that says "what are you even talking about?" It's used to call out nonsense or to add theatrical, gesticulating emphasis to whatever you're saying. In gamer and meme culture it has become the stock "speaking Italian with my hands" exaggeration.

Origin

The 🤌 emoji arrived in 2020 and was instantly memed as the Italian "che vuoi?" (what do you want?) gesture. Spamming it turns the theatricality up to eleven.

Examples

• bro what are you even saying right now 🤌🤌🤌

  Calling out nonsense

• mamma mia, this pasta is perfection 🤌🤌🤌

  Exaggerated mock-Italian praise
