Emojion (a blend of "emoji" and "emotion") is a dictionary of emoji meanings — and of how emojis are actually used around the world.

What you can do here

The same emoji can mean completely different things across countries and generations. 🙏 is "please / thank you" in Japan but "prayer" in the West; 💀 means "dying of laughter" to young English speakers. Emojion combines official Unicode CLDR data with cultural notes per country and real usage data from community votes.

About the data

Emoji names and keywords come from Unicode CLDR. Vote results are statistically processed to resist manipulation, and only percentages are shown.
