💡 Wist je dat?
The 'Zzz = sleep' convention traces back to the 1903 American comic strip Katzenjammer Kids. It spread through other comics in the 1910s, and by 1918 the American Dialect Society had formally noted 'z-z-z' as the written sound of snoring.
💡 Wist je dat?
Used sarcastically to say 'That was so boring I nearly fell asleep.' Though literally meaning 'sleeping,' it's become a go-to reaction for anything dull, especially in English-speaking contexts.
